Buildings and Books

This is Sint Nicolaaskerk [en.wikipedia.org] (Church of Saint Nicholas), he's the patron saint of sailors and merchants so he's a good guy to also be the patron saint of Amsterdam. Inside there is a lot of decoration, and a lot of stuff relating to sailors.

I love how it looks in the soft evening light.

A weather vane on the top of central station, there is a clock the the left and a wind meter to the right, hmm, maybe more photos needed. The problem is that the whole area is a building site right now.

Canayjun's bookmark for me arrived in the post today. Yeah! Along with recipes. Yeah again ;-) (and you should do a recipe book… or illustrate someone else's, gee I wonder who could write a recipe book).

For some reason, my first impression of the bookmark shot was that it was lifesize. A store front trompe l'oeil. I don't know why but anyway wouldn't it be a great exterior for a bookshop.

Damn, I missed that whole 'get a bookmark' thing, dammit! Love how you got the Nicolaaskerk entirely in the pic, I always only get parts of it
