In the Old City of Dubrovnik

by Quailia Nothing April. 28, 2013 556 views

Arched entrance from the old port into the old city.

The fort walls, although they were built to withstand an attack of bows/arrows and cannonballs they withstood the siege in 1991-2 rather well, some shell fire appears to bounce off the walls in film clips.

From house to garden - via a walk along a plank.

A rare bit of natural shade.

Lunch in the sun.

And the sunset. I was drinking cocktails and reading a book on a terrace… next to me two English women were gushing rather extremely to the barman who said laconically “it does this every night…”

I nearly snorted my mojito.

I LOVE Dubrovnik. Glad you liked it. I made a similar sun-remark on the sunset in Oia (Santorini) last year and nearly go lynched my a busload of 'mercins...
