Seeing each other

It's been a hard, sad week since Richie died. Everyone I talked to on the West Side is downhearted about it. Richie never caught a break his whole life. What happened to him isn't right.

This is Tony. He used to let Richie in to take a shower and clean up at his place. "Richie was a good man."

While we were talking about Richie, a glorious rainbow arc appeared. It filled the whole sky over the neighborhood.

We're all humans on this earth together. Let's see each other. Let's appreciate, honor, and take care of each other while we're here.

Rachele,

Your pictures are exactly how I imagine The US: diverse and very open. I have only been to Midwest but hope to see more as soon as corona crisis is over.

Best regards, Piotr.

Thank you for your comment! I do hope you get to travel once this is over. I also want to go see the amazing places I am seeing on photoblog! I love to see the way the people who live there see.
Peace,
Rachele

I love the action shots of the children on their scooters and bikes!  The little girl in the yellow is especially captivating.  But the best shot of the bunch, IMHO, is the shot of the three neighbors and the 'Glendale'.  Beautiful story in one frame!

Thanks Bridget. At that moment there had been another tragic death in the street on Grant. The street was blocked off with police tape and there was a lot of curiosity and sadness and resignation. You can see the emotions in Ya Ya's face (#4).
