I am not a "looks like a painting" person. My philosophy is that if you want a painting, get out the paints. But I know its fun to edit, and I have spent hours on bad weather days doing just that!
The purist in me prefers the original - but you already guessed that Ray!
I saved a copy of each to my computer so I could enlarge them and look at them side by side without scrolling. Even though I like that the building comes more "out of the shadows" in the edited one, I prefer the original. The tree looks so much richer and fuller
Both are very nice, but I tend to like more contrast, so the original is my favorite!
