Bihar is famously known for its Madhubhani paintings and for Bodh Gaya, the place where Gautama Buddha attained enlightenment.
Recently I was invited to Patna, the capital city of Bihar, to attend a wedding. It so happened that I had some hours all by myself and I decided to explore Buddha Smriti Parka a.k.a Buddha Memorial Park (100 metres from the railway station, 7 Kms from the airport).
The park is a clean and serene place. It consists of many attractions such as the Buddha Museum, Patliputra Karuna Stupa (where Buddha ashes from 6 countries are kept), Bodhi trees, laser shows and a vast space to sit and meditate or enjoy some quality time with nature.
I present to you some glimpses of my day at the Buddha Smriti Park.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti
