About Real Moments
Hi! I am a passionate amateur photographer from Norway. Today I photograph exclusively with Leica. Unfortunately, my English is pretty poor. I have also been diagnosed with Asperger syndrome. So I will not write much in this blog, but rather let the pictures speak for themselves.
My portraits are casual and shot with available light only. I usually don't ask anyone to pose, because I want to capture natural and "real moments". Hence the name of my blog. Nevertheless, I always use fully manual settings on the camera, and with Leica M there is only manual focus. I don't even use the camera's light meter, instead I use my own "backwards sunny sixteen rule", based on the widest aperture. As you may have seen, I love shallow depth of field!
I also love the "classic" look from older lenses, especially those designed by Walter Mandler from the 1960s to the 1980s. As you can see from my categories, I've tried many different lenses, but most of them are sold now, to free up some money. Today I've kept only two classic lenses, and one modern.
I wish I could travel the world and visit exciting places to photograph, but unfortunately I cannot afford that (instead I've spent my last money on Leica gear). So all photos are taken in my immediate surroundings.
