'Fall River is known for the Lizzie Borden case, Portuguese culture, its numerous 19th-century textile mills and Battleship Cove, the world's largest collection of World War II naval vessels and the home of the USS Massachusetts (BB-59).'

Newport, RI - along the Cliff Walk trail to view the coastline and the mansions. Very cold and windy so not able to make the 5 mile roundtrip hike.

The mansions of Newport - originally called "cottages" - were built as summer homes in the 1850s to 1900 by wealthy tycoons of New York and Philadelphia. Now, many of them are open to the public for tours...

The Orchard Mansion is for sale - only 5 million for nearly 15,000 square feet (14 bedrooms and 15 baths) - a bargain if you compare with SF's 1K per square foot. :-)
