Revisiting photographs in light of friends' comments

I'm using up an available date.

Thanks to Hanna and others for offering some very constructive feedback - I took it to heart and straightened steps and then did away with the struts (not very well, I know). I've always detested this building.

Less noticeably doctored and, perhaps, a better image for it.

Compare this image and the one above with images 2 and 3 in this post [photoblog.com]. I think they're better

Yes, they are both cleaner and brighter. In this case it definitely adds to their appeal. Wouldn't have a clue how to do all that - don't even know if it's possible with Elements. In light of your improved examples, makes me realize I shouldn't be so lazy about learning.

I don't mean to be as neutral as Switzerland on this, but there are little things about both versions I like. In other words; I like them all :-l

I agree totally with yellodog. For two I like the straightened steps but definately think the struts add to the picture nicely from the original.
