Some things never change

La Canebière, Marseilles, looking down to the Vieux Port, April 2013. Iphone 5 image edited in LR4.

I was quite lucky with this. At first I cursed, because I'd left my compact in my brief case (I was on assignment when this was taken). All I had was my iPhone5. My hands are rather large (texting is always a chore, sometimes a hilarious one), so none of the editing apps I have (PSE, Hipstamatic, etc.) are easy for me to use.

I'm post-dating this one for the next “smartphone picture” day because I rarely take usable pictures with my mobile.

I also suggest changing the tag nomenclature to smartphoneYYMM to make it easier to track by date if the initiative becomes more popular.

I would never have thought this was an iPhone pic - very classy and so much better than anything I've ever shot with mine!

This has a real nice feel to it and your composition is also really very good.

Fabulous shot! One thing that has not changed is that you continue to inspire. Hope to be back around soon!

I`m no phone photographer at all! I like take silly shots and snaps and really can`t "embrace" this photo technic to make something good. Only silliness
This looks like it could be from what ever camera you hose, great details and colouring are perfect for this kind of picture. I like this :)

Well you know how much I like this.
On The Other Site the balcony on the right was darker revealing less detail, which had the advantage of taking the eye to all the detail in the street.
To my favourites.

How do you always manage to find the perfect vantage point?
A busy photo with much depth and perfect tonality.
Your image has soul - Marsailles has soul ... or should that be t'other way around? :-)

I think it looks like an old painting too( can't remember the one but it was in France somewhere) , if it didn't have all the cars though.

Very nice - it has an almost painted quality.

Is it me or that white Peugeot 205 is entering in a no traffic zone. Love the image tone.
