Gone, gone, gone and that's no bad thing

This gloriously, fabulously beautiful young woman came for three photo sessions and I did what I could, cursing my technical and human inabilities to get more out of her.

She moved to Spain shortly afterwards and I recently learnt that she plans to stay there.

This image never made the cut owing to its technical problems (shadow behind the model and highlights on her face), which is why I haven't posted it until now with some editing.

At 45 and as her photographer, I can only regret lost photographic opportunities. I might have followed her to Spain had I been 20 years younger…

But I'm not and what little knowledge I have acquired in all this time gives me some consolation - or at least relief: she has one of the foulest tempers it's been my privilege to have encountered.
