I do like that time of the day, just after dusk, when the battle between artificial and natural lighting starts to take shape. It’s the time of ‘blue hour’ in the northern hemisphere, especially at the equinoxes, but it’s also a welcome time in hot, southern climes because temperatures become bearable. In French, rather bizarrely, it’s called “between dog and wolf” time.
On a technical level, it’s obviously better to shoot in raw format and, if possible, with a tripod (even a small one). You get a lot out of the colours that way.
