One good thing about this summer job is no longer being physically incapable of being productive before 12pm when uni is off. We were both up and ready well ahead of schedule and had had a cooked breakfast too. It was pouring down though and didn't look like it would be stopping.
We met everyone at The Waverely a 9:30am and set sail just after 10am. The drinks were flowing early and it didn't take long for the sandwiches and snacks to be brought out. The bar was packed and humid because of the steaming mechanism being right beside the bar!
We sailed from Glasgow to Greenock, Helensburgh, Rothesay and Tighnabruaich. Stopped for an hour and did the same stops on the way back to Glasgow. It was hard to keep up with the pace and I really needed a nap half way but powered through until we docked back in Glasgow at 8pm. It was a day of top craic and good bonding. Good crowd as well. Would have been a beautiful sailing if the rain hadn't been on constantly, maybe next year?
Have to say one of my favourite bits was just watching the paddle steamer mechanism going flat out!
Stuart and I got an uber back to his flat, ordered chinese. I felt sick/hungover by bed time and that was that. One positive to day drinking is your hangover has already set in by bed time so the next day is not as bad.
