We were up and at breakfast for half 9, then Dad and I went for a walk around the grounds for a bit and then into the graveyard next door. Sounds bizarre but its quite humbling and interesting.

We then decided to head to Donegal for the afternoon, and visit Malin Head. First stop was Redcastle Hotel for some hot chocolate and a scone, then we headed North.

Malin Head was cold and windy and had amazing views, it would be stunning in the summer. The first time any of us had been there so we can now all tick off the most Northerly point in Ireland off the list. Now just need to go South to Maizenhead.

By the time we got back to the Beech Hill it was dark and we quickly got changed and spruced up for dinner this evening. We went to the Sooty Olive which we went to two years ago as well, it was even better than last time.

Food and drinks were superb, best champ I've had in a long time! So we went home full and satisfied. Got some chocolate from the Spar on the way up the road and had it with a cup of tea and a game of Phase 10. Dad was leading most of the way then Mum and I caught up and it came right down to the last hand, I just managed to go out before Dad. Really good game.

I have a very loud neighbour who likes to leave the TV on loud while he falls asleep and snores loudly over it - so I'm hoping he has either checked out or has fixed his snoring for tonight!
