The town of Bagamoyo, Tanzania, was founded at the end of the 18th century.

Bagamoyo Seaside - the structures on the left have a historic significance. During the slave trade, the slaves used to be tied to these before being taken to the market to be sold. Very sad indeed and there is a sad feeling when you actually visit this place.

These are fascinating photos... I really like the last one, it reminds me of small villages in Costa Rica that I've seen, with the open food stands.
