This was the year I decided to up my game (slightly) and move from a compact to a Bridge camera. This encouraged me to take a lot more photos and therefore I've had to split 2014 into two! This first amble contains photos which were all "pre-bridge" so a combination of compact and phone camera but they document some important events in my life during 2014.
Start of the year and one morning seemed very eery weatherwise and I had to catch it out of my home office window.
Onwards to May and I picked out my next car and naturally took a picture whilst it was gleaming and polished (licence plate obscured for obvious reasons).
We had a disastrous holiday in Tunisia - long story short, hotel was terrible so I chose to purchase my own flights back to the Uk after staying there 24 hours! However, the flight back from Tunis was great and, although a little shaky, we had a wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower.
I had a landmark birthday - or so everybody told me!
The upside of the landmark birthday was a trip to the British F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone. I was too interested in the racing to take any great pictures but I did catch the Red Arrows in the pre-race entertainment. Obviously the grey clouds are a typical feature for the UK in July!
A trip to Cotswold Wildlife Park was also a pleasant day spent
And the major event and one of the proudest moments of my life as my eldest daughter graduated from Uni. What a day that was.
We also managed to get to a couple of concerts during the year too.
During December we managed to get a break to NYC and Naples in Florida - that will form my part 2 posting of 2014 and the opportunity to experiment with my Pentax bridge camera.
