We hopped over to Barcelona from the UK for around 24 hours in March to catch the last day of pre-season F1 Testing at the Circuit De Catalunya. The weather was amazing and we had a fantastic day watching the all new design cars for 2017 season. Managed to grab a few decent photos too. Camera wise I have now stepped up to a DSLR and have a Nikon D5300 - I plumped for this as I like having built in GPS and also WiFi onboard. Makes my life easier and makes it a breeze when importing to Lightroom and plotting where I took the photos on the map.
Took a panorama
Then time to grab a few car shots
Given this was testing then a couple of breakdowns out on track meant we got to see a couple of the drivers out of the cars as well
Firstly , Fernando Alonso with a broke down McLaren (not unusual so far this season)
The Ferrari of Kimi Raikonnen also broke down right in front of us
On our way back to our transport we dropped into the very impressive team lorry park - these are some wagons.
This was a fantastic day with gorgeous weather. We'd definitely do it all again and hopefully will in 2018.
