Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve I always take flowers to a friend. It used to be easy in the car, but since I became eco-minded and gave it up it's now a major operation! Over 4 hours this time.

Meanwhile there are things to do at home too…

Essex Road Station - not been here before

Change at Alexandra Palace

And then off into Palmers Green and road after road of suburban houses- typically English.

Houses which people turn into little castles - and try to out-do the neighbours! This is not my friends house by the way, just an example.

It took so long to get there I thought I would come back another way - this is Edmonton Green where the station was obviously built in the days of steam and short trains!

Back to Broadway Market - I am delighted to report that the awful red tree which featured in a blog a couple of weeks back has not been sold and is now only £25! Personally I think 50p would be too much!

And finally domesticity and my lovely Santa.
