Brighton - The Royal Pavilion

A day out in Brighton - pictures taken in May - when the weather was warm! Not like now…

Th Brighton Royal Pavilion is a simply amazing building! It was built in 1787, as a seaside retreat for George, Prince of Wales, (later George IV and from 1811 the Prince Regent).

It is built in a style prevalent in India for most of the 19th century, with the most extravagant designs ever executed in the British Isles. Stunning!!
