This place is a real find near Scotch Corner on the A66 on the outskirts of Barnard Castle. The most wonderful organic café-restaurant with a farm retail shop supporting local producers and a horticultural centre. In the shop there is a butchers, delicatessen, bakery, general store and craft section. Cross Lanes is run and built entirely on eco principles with organic, local and green thinking at the heart of everything they do. see here [crosslanesorganics.co.uk] for more information.

Thanks for that picture of the hot water, it reminds me of water regulations which I haven't read for a long time now! Oh I miss plumbing in York!! Sniifff. Nice place. Not near Wales?
