What can I say about the Leica M 4? It’s an absolute classic and a symbol of quality for film photographers everywhere. But it isn’t cheap. It was first introduced in 1967, it’s a rangefinder camera with a home in every good, self-respecting photographer’s collection.
The name Leica alone is synonymous with quality, but the M 4 makes the name much more notable. The camera continued to be produced until 1975, but the market for Leica’s has such high demand. With not too many people really wanting to sell theirs, you’re looking at around $2000 for one that was the price in 2020.
This camera was made up from three different bodies’ and it tuck me five years to compliant. I have no idea how many man hours it tucks, but there were a lot of late nights. It now works like a berm…Here are just a few images I have taken with this camera over the years.
