A few dead trees - Snowy Mountains

by Peter November. 24, 2008 5226 views

The Snowy Mountains in Southern New South Wales Australia were ravaged by bushfires some years ago leaving vast numbers of dead trees. Here are a few shots from a recent visit with Kangshung (Richard) and Jagungal (Harry).

Near Dead Horse Gap, Main Range.

Last of the evening light. Near Dead Horse Gap, Main Range.

Near Dead Horse Gap, Main Range.

Near Thredbo Diggings.

On the way to Cascade Valley. Silvery dead trees on the far mountain look a bit like snow.

A nicely integrated set Pete. #1, #2 and #5 are my picks. At first glance 5 is just another shot...but the more I look at it the more I like it! (It reminds me of one of those Victorian steel etchings.)
