Thank you all :)

before posting my next entry (and I hope you will be surprised) just a few words about this one:

1st) YES sandmoon and arzenteart, this is indeed Saint-Paul de Vence!

2nd) I wrote "bought" with quotation marks, not just... bought! This means bought in the sense of:

I can buy that = I agree with that = I accept that

What happened is that Saint-Paul de Vence was to Monsieur Yves Montand's liking...

but he did buy real estate there, both commercial (the café and other small businesses in that central place where they are playing the pétanque in photos 3 and 4) and housing properties. The place he bought to live is very big - it's possible to see part of the house to the right side of the same photos mentioned.

So he "bought" the idea of living in Saint-Paul de Vence and he bought the buildings he felt he needed for that purpose! :)

Sad to hear about the luxuriancy of one & poorness of the others!
Where is the fairness??

Anyway - great shots! Inspired me to take a vacation once again ...

Beautiful set. I feel as if I'm walking through the town. It's ludicrous for someone to own a village.

Vallauris... Picasso... Saint-Paul... Matisse... Yves Montand... these names have something to do with this trip... that ends the entries about the French Riviera!

I hope you enjoyed the series... because my next entry will be from... the other side of the world :)
