Finally!

Hey everybody, I'm alive!

It's been a crazy 3 weeks so far but I am having a fantastic time. I have a bunch of pictures that I've taken from just walking the streets, these are just 4 of my favorites. I haven't posted anything yet because I have been trying to get photoshop set up on my laptop forever, and I finally just bought it and edited everything I have taken so far. I'm not really sure how this whole photo blog thing goes but I'll just figure it out as I go.

I think my favorite part of London so far is walking to school. Sounds really lame and basic, but hear me out. The walk is about 30 minutes, but my roommate Nathan and I take different routes to school most days to make it interesting. We've found a bunch of cool parks with statues of guys that have been dead a long time. We try coffee from different coffee shops that we find on our way. Nathan always gets a strong black coffee and I'll get the drink with the least amount of coffee in it, plus a cookie. Currently on the hunt for the coffee shop that has the best chocolate chip cookie, and let me tell you, there is absolutely no competition, every single one of them have been disappointing.

Regardless, it is really fun to explore the city and discover new stores, cafes, coffee shops, parks, buildings, everything. While walking today Nathan and I stumbled upon a huge street market with over 30 vendors selling the best smelling food. We walked for 10 more minutes and ended up at another street market that had free samples. Free samples, people. It's funny because sometimes you find the street markets with your nose before your eyes, because the food always smells amazing and you just walk towards the smell. So walking everywhere has definitely been the best part so far, even though I average about 17,000 steps daily and I might need to buy a new pair of shoes soon.

Alright more to come soon. Cheers!

This is a small marketplace near my university named Covent Garden. I really like a lot of these markets in London because the streets are usually blocked off for pedestrians, so everybody just just walks on the cobblestone paths to the little shops and stores. Fun stuff.

This is a random apartment that is on our way to our university. I think the apartments in London are so cool because they are very "British". I'm not sure what exactly that means, probably just a definition that has been shaped by me watching British shows and movies.

This is St. James Park, just a park right next to Buckingham Palace. I liked how the line of trees made everything look very grand, and makes you feel so small.

This is a picture I snapped of a random couple walking through Kensington Gardens, which in my opinion is more worthy of a visit than Buckingham Palace.
