After 5h driving and despite the sunset is almost fully finished, even so it was worthwhile to stop at Oropesa.
For sure I'll try to go there during day light…
All of this stuff was built and used by the “Jesuítas”.
Lot's of rebuilding and maintenance work currently on the field.
Unfortunatelly I was not carrying my tripod to spot another pair of good looking sights in Oropesa :(
Maggie effect photos…

My web page [ruialves.madeiraspotters.net]

Leaving Madrid, Heading Portugal, using the highway A-5, and driving for about 150Kms you'll reach Oropesa.

Overview just after leaving the highway

City center

Wall painting with some history

Plenty of history around you while hanging on this desert streets

Old constructions everywhere

And there are so much that they have a restaurant inside a Monumentum dated for 1523…

No tripod and you must be inventive to get some shots… :)

Parador Oropesa is the building bellow…

Really… and guess inside… what do you think they have on this site?

For sure!… an hotel :)

ISO 1600 photos because the tripod got some rest during the weekend…

There are several label along the streets with explanations

And there are more walls with histories…

… and even maps! :)

And yes, it's time to enjoy the view, breath some iced air and prepare do get in my car again and return home :)

And that's all for now!
