Principe de Asturias

Due to an LdF meeting, in Funchal, we've joined some friend and,
despite of the weather, we were lucky enough to walk to the harbour.
The huge “Principe de Asturias” was there, with some helis and Harriers on-board.
Unfortunately, we arrived a bit late and we were not granted access to this amazing floating airport.

Near harbour access this was our prespective.

Now, this one was taken quite close to “Vespas” disco.

As you can see, there were some civilians up there, the ship was open to visitors.

“Principe de Asturias” and some LdF friends.

Repaint job needed :)

The historic replica “Santa Maria”, used to amuse tourists and locals.
(On the background there's another boat - Gavião ).

Can you see the chains to hold this bird?…

Nice report. That shining sun was really nice for the pics. If only I had taken my camera...who would have guessed that the rain would turn into that...
