Well out of a 50% chance of snow we did get a bit of sleet and a few flakes of snow with some much needed rain but no freezing rain. I was going to go outside and see what I could find . Too cold to do that I came inside and looked at the cat on the heater vent and said " Your a smart one". Well outside of playing on the computer what else do I enjoy doing on a cold, grey day. Reading. So I grabbed a blanket a cup of the all mighty Coffee and a good book.
A good baking book is as good or better than a novel in my humble opinion . It is my other hobby that I love. Sourdough is among my favorite type of bread something special about the process. It is slower than breads with quick rising yeast and has a lovely flavor. Reminds me a bit of photography in the simplicity of the formula . ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture, for photography. Sourdough is basically Flour, Water, Salt. The starter is just flour and water that has wild yeast and beneficial bacteria in it . Neither hobby produces good results if you rush things or neglect 1 part of the process but the variety of results from the 3 basic parts is staggering if you think about it. What are some things that could make this a better photo and what are some of the breads you love to eat? Thank you for taking the time to spend a moment with me on my journey.
