Hmmmm I started 7 months ago with a personal challenge . It seems like yesterday that I started . I think that somewhere along the line or path finishing a 365 project became part of my bucket list. I know there are places I would love to visit that are on my bucket list . There are photos I want to make that are on my bucket list. There is gear I want for photography . Wait gear. This will be my starting point for today. When I started there were film cameras . 35mm Medium Format and Large Format. Self advancing film cameras were the latest and greatest new invention when I first started also the introduction of auto focus lenses. The first camera I had that was as old as I was at the time were as capable as the brand new cameras. Now cameras are rolled out every year . When I went out for a walk I started thinking . When I first got into photography Polaroid was something that a lot of kids for a first camera . The generation prior started with a Brownie camera. Well todays generation of should I say the next generation of photographers are starting on a mobile device be it an iPhone or Andriod phone or some other device. I happened to have my phone on me so I decided to look for something I could use my phone on and then use the 50mm lens I had on my DSLR.
I found a humble mushroom in shade and this gave me the idea. Two pictures 1 camera on the phone 1 from the dslr .
I tried with some well less than some but a little success to have the same or similar framing . The lenses did give me a bit of a hurdle to jump through and there are some differences but I did come close.
Moral of this story for me is Yes gear is great wanting better gear to make images is great but it is also important to create with what you have . Once I know the limits of what I have then I know what would benefit me more rather than just blindly throwing funds at something in hopes of making a better images. I feel like I am rambling now so that is my que . I hope you have or had a great day and thank you for spending a few moments with me on my journey .
