Day 332...Hidden Bird and a Treescape

by Russell Smith November. 29, 2017 349 views

Grey overcast . Almost snow clouds. This is how I would describe the look of today. I had to crank up the iso so I could have a high enough shutter speed to try and freeze a small bird providing I could find one.

I did not have a lot of success spotting birds today outside of this guy or crows that were over 1/4 mile down the path.

This tree caught my attention . The tan foreground and green of the evergreens contrasting against the yellow . I love the way the scene looked. I am not sure I had the best focal length to do the scene justice something to ponder on and try a different focal length tomorrow (weather dependant) .Maybe I will be fortunate and have a better looking sky or if it is grey more texture in the sky . While this is a scene I like overall I am not a fan of how I have captured it in this shot but it is something I am going to revisit . This feels like the start of a thought for me where it leads me I am unsure . While I will ponder on this for a while I do thank you for spending a few moments with me on my journey .

After a while I could see the bird smile In #2 I think there isn't a visible separation between background and foreground.

I think that is a small % of the issue I have with the picture . Honestly there are a lot of small things that are not quite right with it .
