This is my basic rub for ribs deconstructed or pre constructed . Left to right . Salt, Black Pepper,Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Brown Sugar, Cumin, Cayenne (red pepper),Paprika, Ancho Chili Powder. For me it is about the ratios roughly. 2 tablespoons of salt, black pepper , cumin paprika and chili powder, 1 tablespoon onion and garlic , 1 teaspoon of red pepper and maybe 3 tablespoons of brown sugar .
Rub mixed with a bit of extra black pepper ontop . I use cheap yellow mustard to get the rub to stick sometimes I use oil like olive or veg. I will let it sit overnight in the fridge and let the flavors get to know each other .
