Day 16/365 Hot Drink ....

by Russell Smith January. 16, 2019 307 views

Hot tea. I am not 100% happy with this image although it is 100% better than when I took the picture. The lovely cloud that was providing me a soft box and some beautiful light moved . So instead of getting an image like this I got an image like below.

A hot spot from Hades . So to keep from doing another glass of tea I went to photoshop to give the new content aware feature a whirl to see how it does. Overall it worked 90% as well as I had hoped.

I do not know if it is because I am lazy or not but I prefer to get as much right in camera as I can so I do not have to fiddle with fixing an image in post . In this case well rather than a reshoot I decided to "fix" it in post to see what I could do . Anywho I am rambling now .

I can just agree with Antonio regarding the composition - it could as well be an advertisement for tea :) Also, I don't mind the light spot on the glass in the original version that much, but the post processing is well done too!

Ok Russell I know I have been reminded by Bjorn that my eyesight sucks but....what the hell am I looking at between the two pics? What did you use the content aware on? Hellooooooo?  Am I both blind and........( we won't mention the other word in case you decide to agree) 😁

BTW I like your red kettle, the color really shines.

The Kettle came from Walmart and I guess technically it is my daughters as she is the one that kept requesting it because she drinks tea regularly. I am blind too because I did not notice the highlight that was there in the sequence I shot and not in the test shot grimacing

Wow I never even noticed the highlight until you mentioned it.
