Sunday meals . I cannot speak for this "tradition" outside of the Southern USA . Sunday meals were a big part of growing up for me. If not at my house at friends houses . If you were there close to dinner you ate. Your full? Ok I will make you a small plate but you ate . It was usually a late lunch early dinner meal somewhere in between 1400-1600 . Well this is a tradition I carry forward . It is a bit later than the after church meal but it is a good meal with leftovers for lunch for a couple of days. I want to start the week with a delicious meal.
Now for Superbowl we would alternate with my in-laws whos place we would go to for dinner and the first 1/2 of the game. We set a theme and all cook a couple of dishes to fit the theme. Well we moved 2 hours away and with school/work it is too far to justify the trip down and back so we are having our game day party at the house and the theme is junk food. Chips/dip , Wings (3 sauces Hot,Lemon Garlic Parm, and teriyaki ), Pigs in a blanket , Pepperoni Rolls , and Nutella Cream Puffs or Rice Pudding for dessert.
This is the first time making Cream Puffs or a custard filling so it was fun I see a number of things to change for the next time but overall this was a nice easy recipe to do and hey life is short start with dessert first right? If I can get a decent shot of the rest of the spread I will post them as I get them . I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable day :)
