Day 54/365 My Neighborhood.....

by Russell Smith February. 23, 2019 321 views

Well my neighborhood is cramped houses are too close and people with more than 2 cars have to play slide puzzle to park. Hey enough of the complaints. I live in the south (southern U.S.A.) . Life moves at a slower pace and I mean in winter it is slow , In summer it is well slower than slow. This is because it is too hot and humid to move fast. As a result of this if you have a front porch you place a chair or two on it and watch the world go by or you chat with a friend as the world goes by. We also drink Ice Tea that is sweet. No no no sweet is not a proper description. We have a tea flavored sugar syrup with ice . This syrup is responsible for at least 100 diabetic comas in the Bee population. So to show case my neighborhood I choose to show you the view it is best seen from..

One bonus is the porch faces west so I get a great view of the sky when the sunsets are colorful .

Sitting on a porch and drinking Ice tea...I always thought it was a cliché, they are showing us in TV from the southern U.S.A ...smile

Cliché quite possibly but there is a lot of truth to it grinning

Looking forward to warmer weather... sitting in the garden with a tasty beverage - you can't beat it.... although I think I'll skip the sweet tea and stick to beer.

At almost 80 in Feb I dread "warmer" weather of August or Sept.

I love this chair . It doubles as my fishing chair and was bought on clearance 5 or so years ago it is amazing how much it faded in 6 months of living on the porch though.

:) I have discovered it is more or less the same across the southern states from Texas to Virginia maybe as far up as Arkansas. My daughter was horrified because when we went to California she asked for tea and it was unsweet. When she asked for sweet tea they gave her sugar packets.
