Day 109/365 Free Day...

I am going to go ahead and do todays post for now. It is one of those days that is bright so I will have to wait until evening to get the panning shot. 1/4000 at f8 is a slow as I can go right now so it will be a few hours but watching the clouds building I am unsure if the light will drop enough before the rain starts. It is so strange for me to say it is too sunny outside because for the first year we have lived in the Charleston area it was cloudy . I mean cloudy only a few hours of blue sky a week and that is at best.
Perfect excuse to break out the background and do a shot on it to get an idea of what it will look like in images and what to keep in mind for issues with it.

First attempt at Mango Lassi (pro tip I need more mangos in it) . The texture was nice the drink refreshing and there was only a baby hint of Mango. Need more mango .

Scanning Color Negatives is simple but far from easy . The only easy part is the number of ways to have it go sideways on you. Considering that I am starting with negatives that are 14 years old that might be a part of the issue but anywho it is fun and a challenge to conquer. This is my daughter when she was about 18ish months old. I may have gotten in a bit of trouble for allowing her outside to play in this outfit lol.

Adorable Russell!
I'll bet when your wife looks at the photos you captured outside in that outfit, she's grateful to you now!smile
Interesting that people are digitizing negatives and making negatives of their digital pictures all in the same era!

Not a big fan of mango drinks, but like to eat them.  Nice to see you are saving the old negatives.

I prefer eating them to mango drink but this is one I made for my daughter and decided to have a glass also. The old negatives I always wondered why people charged so much for digitizing them now I can see why.

Had to look up Mango Lasi, never heard of it but sure does sound good.
Cute picture of your daughter which brings this question about...you are scanning negatives not the actual prints? If so please tell me what scanner you are using.

The negatives. I am still playing around with technique and how I am processing them. It is a refurbished Epson V-600 I was going to get the V-500 but refurbished was cheaper than a new older model. It has the trays for Slides,Med Format, and 35mm
