My 31 day cell phone projects topic was landscape .

Proof we have gone from rain every day to a sunny time. I pray we return to rain every day with the next 30 days and it rains for the next five to six months. Wait what I thought this fool was complaining about no sunny days. Well yes and no. During the winter time YES. Late spring and summer NO WAY . Daily rain and clouds keep the temps down and the humidity is what it is either way. 85 at 90-100% humidity is better than 90-100 at 100% humidity . Not much but a tad. I took a stroll this early afternoon with this shot in my mind . It gives me a reference point for my insanely colored picture scan from yesterdays post. Simple cellphone photo that I transfered to the computer.
Speaking of which USPS finally delivered my monitor calibration tool. It was what I suspected overall I was close but the Cyan shift was corrected. I have issues fine tuning Cyans every other color I can 99% nail. The main reason I got this is 2 part. The first part is I am printing a bit more and I want to be able to eliminate user error for the prints and be able to hopefully get a good print from the first take. The second reason is within the next two years I want to get a wide (13x19) format printer. The monitor calibration should in theory cut down on miss prints from the printer when I get it so I should save a few $$ on prints.

Now I am not content with the idea of a cellphone shoot for today because yesterday I touched film and a scanner but no camera and I am jonesing for a shoot. The wife wants some Oatmeal cookies and I need to practice at my cookie skills because well I fall just short of sucking at it.

One day I will figure out how my sister in law makes her Oatmeal Cookies. The edges are 100% crispy cook but the middle is quite cake like . I have asked her and she refuses to tell me and will not make them when I am around . These I am sure will be good but not equal to hers.

A calibrated monitor is on the top of my wish list....Cookies look delicious. Could it be that your sister-in-law has a convection oven? I think that‘s the right term it‘s where there‘s a fan to circulate the air while baking that would make a difference. Which reminds me I need to get my oven calibrated, the right side always geta burned and the left is underdone

I just got the 99usd one for the monitor it was nice and easy to use and will suit my needs for a number of year to come.
She has a regular oven not convection but it is better than the one I have.  I pray for it to die every day so it will live forever with my luck.  If I cook at low temps it is fine if I need hotter temps well may the odds be in my favor . It might get there it might not. I told my wife I am considering getting a gas grill to use as an oven lol. At least I know that will get hot enough.

I think that will be one thing she takes to the grave no matter how nice you are to her grinning
