Aug 17 Noodles.

I should have paid attention to todays topic last night . Why? Because we ate at a new (to us) Japanese restaurant. Myles and Jun Yakitori is the name of it and it is in Summerville, SC If you are in the Charleston area it is worth the trip. A small place not quite a dive or a hole in the wall because it has class but it is small. They have been there for almost 30 years . The service is great and the food was well heaven. My daughter had an Undon dish that was Curry flavor and had tofu in it. I had a more traditional Ramen dish and both of the broths were divine. One taste and you knew that the broth was "homemade" or made there.

Now for noodles today. These guys look like rice and can be confused as rice a lot of the time but are perfect for a variety of dishes. It is Orzo and they will be going into a dish that will have a latin flavor. Meat and veg with a cumin red wine vinaigrette .

Love orzo! It finds its way on our plates at least once a week. Sometimes with fish, sometimes with chicken, sometimes with pork, but all the time with lots of Parmesan.

I have a few different recipes that I have not tried yet one of them is a side dish that has parm in it . Most of the time it is some kind of Orzo Veg and Meat with a vinegarette as the sauce. My daughter will pick the meat out and my wife will pick most of the veg out lol.
