22 Aug Morning Smoothie...

by Russell Smith August. 22, 2019 158 views

Banana frozen, 1 teaspoon to teaspoon and a half of espresso powder , 2 tablespoons quick cooking oatmeal, 1 and 1/4 cup of Almond Milk or regular milk and blend . This is a starting point for a few other ideas that are floating around in my head I just wanted to test this recipe out and see how it was.
***Note to self Oats can create some funky highlights in the glass when taking a photo.

Really nice layout! I love the textures added by the beans and oats and how the spoons complement the shape of the banana.  I'll have to try this recipe sometime too.

Did you cook the oats, or just blend in the uncooked ones with everything else?
You could probably use whole roasted coffee beans too...
I'm sure the blender could grind them up fine enough to be unobtrusive....
I'll try the whole beans in my smoothie, tomorrow....
Very attractive presentation!
Bon Apetito!

Just the uncooked ones but toasted might be delicious in it . If they are Old Fashion then maybe definately toast them .Whole beans might work had not considered that .

Nice to get the nutrition of oats w/out having the cooking time needed. Same with the coffee beans, right?
Let me know what you think! Happy Friday!grinning+1
