Polly Wanna Cracker....

Crackers have been on my to bake list for eons. I have always been a chicken little when it came to making them. Well seeing as I had the sourdough starter out to turn part of it from a white starter to a rye starter ( I neglected the rye one a bit too long and it rebelled on me and while not dead it was not fit for any kind of consumption). I also found a recipe for a sourdough sandwhich bread that I am going to make.
Well if you know anything about sourdough is the average soul will have leftover starter called discard. This is just the nature of the beast. You have to feed it and feeding it causes the amount to grow. I used King Arthur's Recipe to make these and honestly the hardest part was none of it . The flavor of this is a cross inbetween a Saltine and a Ritz (butter) Cracker with the bit of sour (acidity) of the starter.

Hehe I think it is almost time to get em done again for her. One of the nails snapped a few days ago :( . THank you they are quite yummy

A rather simple thing to make (comapred to breads) it was a fun experience..
