Wonder Bread aka Square Bread....

A Pullman Pan with lid has been on my want list for ages now. Well I had a gift card from Christmas burning a hole in my desk so I decided to look for the pan. While looking it dropped $10 in price so I figured it was a sign from the wheat farries and pulled the trigger.

The lid and sides will produce a square loaf like sandwhich bread. I decided to make a recipe that I have made in the past just using 2 loaf pans instead of the "proper" pan for the recipe. This meant I know how the dough should act and well it is a tried (by me) recipe.

The light in the house was crapola kind of making the bread look a bit burnt instead of the deep almost sienna color that it is on top. So I went outside.

This is the color of the sides of the loaf the top side is about 1 shade darker which is fine by me. I will cut the loaf in a few hours or so. After it has cooled down then I will get a shot of the crumb (interior) of the loaf and then I will update this post.

Tomorrow I will catch up with the posts that I missed over the weekend. It was a busy weekend.

I will add the recipe the next time I bake this which most likely will be soon. I need to see if my thinking is correct for the time baked .

As long as it does not evaporate before you make it here you can taste it :)

First of all your bread looks scrumptious! I didn't know what a Pullman pan was so I had to look it up. I like the idea that it makes a square loaf. Looks like yours is a large pan correct?

It is a 2lb or a 14 inch long loaf pan so a large pan.
