Cedar Waxwings....

Sitting on the porch this morning enjoying a cooler day that has bluebird skys I noticed a huge flock of birds flying around. They landed in a tree that allowed me to get a fair shot aka and ID shot. They were Cedar Waxwings. A very beautiful bird that is a new addition to my life list (kept on Ebird app) and honestly a first time for me seeing them ever. So I was stoked.

This means a trip to the park on Sat if the weather agrees and my back. Due to the weather and still getting dark earlish I have not really been picking up the camera too much but I have done a few things that relate to photography. Like gear....No not camera gear safety gear . A pair of Snake Bite Proof Boots that happen to in theory be water proof or at least resistant too.

Curiousity got the better of me a few weeks ago and I went into a general store located in my town. The variety of what is carried was amazing to me and snake boots were one of those items. I tried on several different brands and settled on two. Made note of the price and then checked the net and the local store was much much cheaper so I went with that.

Of course the box was approved by shitbird ....

While I am still breaking them in they are becoming more comfortable.

This will allow me to be me and not have to worry about stepping on a snake because I am watching a bird or animal while walking or moving.

I will catch back up on posts either today or tomorrow.

:) I would agree it is one of those things you have and hope never is useful. Thank you on that. I think in the last 10 months I have logged about 120 species.

Didn't know you could buy snake bite proof boots. They look pretty good, more like fashion items than work boots.

These ones I would agree but this company has some nicer looking work type boots. I do not think they are as common in other parts of the country but here snakes are fairly common and we have 6 of the venomous varieties here that are quite common to come across. Typically they will avoid us but it is those times you dont see it and step on it that a strike happens which honestly is undestandable.
