On my morning walk as soon as I stepped out of the door I noticed a flock of around 40 Robins fly . Well this was the first 40 of at least 110 individual birds. The birds were feeding in force this morning and well at near 1000 it was something I thought was a bit odd. Made me wonder if weather was inbound so I checked the weather app and well the Special Weather Statement told me that snow was rather possible today prior to 1600. I can only hope :) that this comes true.
This guy kept coming closer to me and closer. At first I wondered if it had bounced off a car and had a broken wing but after watching it for a while I came to the conclusion it was trying to figure out what I was or maybe try to scare me off the area it was feeding. Either way I found its behavior amusing.
This is the American Robin. This will be one of the rare posts that I will add a color version of the image because that way you can see the colors of the bird if it is one you do not have at your location.
