I lived in the Charleston SC area for a bit over 2 years. Well out of two years I think there was 2-3 days where there was no flood or other sort of warning in the area. River, Street, High Tide on and on. Open weather app and the red ! icon was there click on it and it was flood...
To my surprise this morning we were under a flood warning. I think this is the 2nd one in about 6 months. Fortunately the creek looks the same. The river down the road on the other hand if you were to sneeze by it that would be enough water to push it out of the banks. Luckily at least near Jackson the way we go the only thing in that area is vacant fields. I do not forsee it causing any issues with the bridge. We do have more rain expected this afternoon/evening maybe some hail or a slight chance at a tornado. I do feel bad for those down stream in larger river systems because I suppect that flooding will be worse down there.
Anywho I am getting side tracked.
This afternoon my daughter and I attended a Korean Language Class at a localish Church. It was such a neat experience. So seeing as tomorrow is Korean Independence Day Celebration I decided to get a head start and take a quick snapshot of the flag that they gave my daughter . I think this will be something we attend next weekend.
Dinner plans are something new to me to cook. Köfte, Rice and Orzo Pilaf, Hummus and a flat bread. I plan on grabbing a few shots depending on how bad the lighting is and or if we have power for lighting lol. If we loose power I can still cook on a gas stove we got for that purpose. The Butane ones like you might see on Youtube.
Anywho it is getting hard for me to catch up on the posts I miss during the weekend and to stay current so I will attempt to catch up on Mon.
