31 March Morning Snack and Reading....

To be completely honest I bought the paper a week or so ago for photography. I could care less about reading the news for the most part. Not that I do not care about the news as I very much do and stay abreast of current events. I just get tired of the same pile of dog vomit being all that is talked about. If you are not sure what I mean by dog vomit well the political tribalism of the news and or media sources is what I mean. I do not want to take things in a political manner so that is all I will say about it. However small town papers are fun to read. Especially the crimes section I tend to call them the WTF section. There are some real gems in there to find.

I think I have mentioned it before in May my quaint little town of Humboldt, Tn is having a big shindig called the Strawberry Festival. I am looking forward to seeing what it brings to town. Photo Ops in the making :) .

Since for some reason about a kilo and a half of oranges is cheaper than 2 oranges that I need for a recipe I got the the kilo and a half and will munch on some. This image is mostly a fun image and reminds me of days gone by.

Really like the photo. Funny, my favorite read of my local paper is also the WTF section, and the  comicssmile

It is always good for a laugh. In charleston there was a paper that pulled all of it together for the week and did one post. It was always good for a belly laugh.

Your posts always make me chuckle. Re. the news I think I get exactly where you are. I mostly get mine from YouTube so I see a lot of US news. I also love the local paper for the same reason. Dognapping is the latest furore. My favourite small town headline , one I saw years ago, still remains, "Robert Redford Lookalike Beaten Up in Town Saturday Night".

If you look and look at a range of media you will see a trend most likely heavy slants one direction or the other on stories so trying to get an honest version of the story is well like asking two toddlers with crumbs on their mouth and chocolate on their hands who are the biscuits/cookies and they point at each other. If you ever need a good laugh do a search for Florida Man or Florida Woman some of those transcend wtf to just a dumbfounded how.

I really like the moodiness of this photo. No festivals planned here as of yet, but I sure hope this summer is a better one than last smile

Thank you. It was about 2 months ago when I heard the Mayor say they were having it this year which honestly for this town it is a major deal for $$ making.

Thank you. Now that the sun is getting higher in the sky I am getting a bit more reflected light from neighbors and I am liking the contrast it creates.
