More from my garden

Allium buds

Some Allium species, including A. cristophii and A. giganteum, are used as border plants for their ornamental flowers, and their “architectural” qualities

Once upon a time, no self-respecting gardener would have dreamt of cultivating thistles. However, in recent years many of them have become quite desirable garden plants. Heading the field as one of the most sought-after is Cirsium rivulare 'Atropurpureum'.
