Oct. 19: Pictures from a coffee shop--with a weird reflection

by Saramerry99 October. 19, 2011 1475 views

I went to a new coffee shop in the morning–a local one that roasts their own beans–just in a spirit of exploration. As it turned out, I really loved it, which was cool.

They have the roaster right there on the floor of the shop, next to the tables. I didn't get to be there when they were roasting (the necessary employee was late, apparently) but I did sketch and photograph the shiny red and chrome roaster.

When I got home, I noticed something weird in the pictures of the roaster. The first one (landscape orientation) is normal and basically what the roaster looked like–shiny and intricate (I had a ball sketching it). The portrait orientation one, though, has something strange in the reflection in the upper left of the chrome part of the roaster…it looks like a face or something, but I'm not in the reflection (I was careful) and no one was standing where that would have been.

So I enlarged it and cropped that out–where did the crazed llama come from and why is it in a shop that specializes in Ethiopian coffee?? :D :D

Anyway, crazed llamas aside I really loved the place and will definitely be back. :D

coffee roaster (nice and normal)

Hey what's that in the corner just above the highest dark horizontal line in the chrome? Is that a face?

I enlarged the picture and cropped it down to focus on that face…Wait…Where did the psychotic llama come from??

Hmmmm...sorry, I just don't see a llama, crazed or otherwise!
It is a fascinating contraption though and I can only imagine how wonderful it smells in this coffee shop!
