Hastings Street

I really am beginning to think that calling this place the Sunshine Coast was someone's idea of a very mean joke.

This was taken as we tried to have a leisurely post breakfast stroll down Hastings Street….as leisurely as it can be when it is bucketing down then bouncing off the ground and coming back up at you.

I broke into hysterical laughter as I drove back to Brisbane last night….the rain was so torrential that the traffic on the highway, while not at all heavy, was reduced to a crawl. For some reason, with my chin rested on the steering wheel trying to see through the rain beyond the end of the bonnet, i thought the whole thing was hysterically funny.

Clearly, cabin fever has set in.

Rain is necessary to wash the salt from the water and air off the brick work. :)
