My biggest challenge in photography is feeling outrageously conspicuous when I pull out my camera in public. Ridiculous, I know. But I miss opportunities, even when I have my camera with me, because of this anxiety. So I'm hoping to overcome that with the help of a 365 project. It's not my goal to take ALL of my photos in public spaces, but I'm hoping this will help me out of my shell.
I'm in Mount Vernon, Ohio. It's a good sized town of just about 17,000 less than an hour north of Columbus. It's surrounded by farmland, and has a reallly nice Rails-to-Trails thing going on. There are a couple of colleges and a nice river. Some interesting parks. No doubt I'll have plenty of opportunities, the trick will be taking advantage of them.
I plan to post one day behind to avoid unnecessarily late nights and to allow enough time for selection and editing.
Wish me luck!
