Leica M9 Test in Boston Mass

by Scott Clarkson January. 09, 2010 3275 views

I took my new Leica M9 out for a spin in Boston. The weather was beautiful, the temperature was about 22 degrees f at 10 a.m.

The Leica M9 is the best digital camera I have ever used. Period. No room to review it here, and don't take my word for it….go try one.

There was a great online article on “The Online Photographer” recently asserting that all serious photographers should use a Leica M series for just one year.

“A year with a single Leica and a single lens, looking at light and ignoring color, will teach you as much about actually seeing photographs as three years in any photo school, and as much as ten or fifteen years (or more) of mucking about buying and selling and shopping for gear like the average hobbyist.”

The replica of Independence Hall (Philadelphia) at Faneuil Hall. This was taken with a 35 mm lens - gross mistake - which causes the inward tilt of the vertical lines. A 90 mm lens would have been a much better choice.
