Music of my life

by Brian Scott October. 18, 2020 274 views

Music plays a huge part in my life, much of it from the 70's

Uplifting, saddening but always evoking emotion. I've been sitting smiling and enjoying as I read your blogs.

Good morning all, have a great Sunday

You are a bad man Brian! I too wake up with a song in my head and play it, LOUD, to my wife's chagrin! Then I find other related songs and muso's and I spend 1/2 an hour listening to more. So why are you bad? Because now I spend another 1/2 hour pluys listening to that suggested by your posts and delve into more different music (that is spotify's fault, not yours!). I don't actually think you are bad, I love your music posts. And, I always new 10cc but had not really ventured past Dreadlock Holiday until now, so my poor darling wife has to suffer through my 10cc adventure.

I absolutely adore all music, from classical to metal, (I keep trying to appreciate rapp/hip hop - it aint working!). I have Punjab Bangra, Cajun, Zydeco, Blues, Bluegrass, Mali (Berber) Metal, Soft Rock, Anthemic Rock, 1930's Blues, Irish Folk, Faroese Folk and much more in my collection! I tried once to make a playlist of my favourite songs - I gave up at 590 as I knew it would never end...

Wow, that's a heck of an eclectic list, love it. I do have some Celtic Folk rock, nearest thing to Cajun would be Little Feat. I'd never give up on the favourites list, mine is still growing but, I keep forgetting where I put it, or named it grinning

A haw, haw, haw, haw. Passed through La Grange in 1974, on a detour from Huston to Austin. Thought we'd see the Chicken Ranch("... that shack outside La Grange") - in the pre-Internet days, nobody told us it closed in '73! And, we were invited to "get the hell outa here, boy - we don't like your kind round here". Seems long hair and a beard went over here about as well as it did back home in Arkansas. Fun times.
