Cats and being outdoors

Twothypy was exhausted after returning from vet's for his first bi-annual visit of the year. Narnia just returned the day before but after a month of not seeing him, she still gnarls at her son when he approaches her.

Obviously, the kitten-cat didn't lose any sleep over the intensity of his mom's ferociousness.

Over the weekend, we spent some time in a jungle, walking to the waterfalls… I never made it there: deadly tiring and it was getting so dark. Still, I took some shots, and regret that I wasn't able to capture this tiny, monkey-like creature, galloping along the tree-tops and peeking through the leaves at me… it was really cute on so many levels!

And finally, after years and years of hoping to visit the 100 steps temple in Seremban, I made it. It was beautiful. I swear, if no one who knows the way wouldn't take you there, you wouldn't be there. You travel along the main road then turn into some hidden path which leads your car back to a one lane paved road and pass the remnants of the ancient temple which my ancestors (whom I've never met) helped to expand.

I never got a chance to visit the original temple. We continued to travel up the hill until we reached the very top, parked our car, and walked all the way up to the temple.

The atmosphere was awesome. You feel like you've arrived at some long, lost time… and the fact that you see no one, except for two monks are around the entire estate and a really faithful dog that followed you about added a lot of … purity and spirituality to the place.

The view, if you care to collect your breath and continue hiking up, proved to be stunning. The air, crisp and cool… and later, turned very wet… we were all drenched in rain after a flash storm and had to wait for the rain to subside before we could make that walk back to the car.

Oh… the shot before the jungles was taken a couple of days back at cck: trying to outrun a sudden rain pour, found ourselves at a stairway and looking out to at this forlorn space.
