Shutter Priority Practice

Ok, I admit it, I'm not good with Shutter Priority mode. F-stops and depth of field, I get that. Shutter speed? Just doesn't compute. So I decided to practice panning a moving subject, just as a conveniently timed train passed very near where we were walking in the park. Since railroad cars are generally kind of boring, I focused on the ones with colorful graffiti, and here are the results. Fortunately, it was a rather slow moving train; but, I think I'm starting to get the idea…. ;)

My favorite, someone's wasting their talent on box cars!

I have no idea what this says, I hope it isn't anything terribly rude!

An interesting thing to paint on a railroad car, I thought. Was it suggestion or remorse? ;)

Clearly the blue box cars were the preferred choice of graffitti artists!
